Steering Valve for Forklifts

Forklift Steering Valve - Valves aid to regulate the flow of a fluids like for instance liquids, slurries, fluidized gases or regular gases by partially obstructing, opening or even by closing certain passageways. Standard valves are pipe fittings but are discussed as a separate category. In cases where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.

Various applications such as military, industrial, residential, transport and commercial industries use valves. A few of the main businesses which depend on valves include the sewerage, oil and gas sectors, mining, chemical manufacturing, power generation and water reticulation.

Most valves being used in day to day activities are plumbing valves, which are utilized in taps for tap water. Several popular valves include those fitted to dishwashers and washing machines, gas control valves on cookers, valves inside car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins inside the human body act as valves and control the blood flow. Heart valves even control the circulation of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the proper pumping action.

Valves can be used and worked in numerous ways that they could be worked by a pedal, a lever or a handle. Moreover, valves could be worked automatically or by changes in pressure, flow or temperature. These changes may act upon a diaphragm or a piston which in turn activates the valve. Some common examples of this kind of valve are seen on boilers or safety valves fitted to hot water systems.

Valves are utilized in many complex control systems which may require an automatic control which is based on external input. Controlling the flow through the pipe to a changing set point is one example. These situations normally require an actuator. An actuator would stroke the valve depending on its set-up and input, allowing the valve to be situated precisely while allowing control over different needs.
