Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store hiring just 4 people. Overall sales for that year totaled $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Within five years of operation, the business had expanded to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to 330 thousand dollars. Nowadays, Cascade is among the leading international producers within the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business opportunities. During the past 60 years, the material handling business has grown into a highly advanced area and Cascade has proudly performed a part in this improvement. Cascade at present continues to develop as the best supplier of lift truck attachments and numerous related items. The company feels confident in their potential in order to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding customer's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive in the world market.

In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in 1956 on a brand new office so as to accommodate all the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. After fifteen years of business, total employees reached 180 workers and sales had reached almost two million three hundred thousand dollars.

A second manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the United States with areas in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are made globally due to lots of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This facility is designed to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after acquiring 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide best in forks.
